The Martin W. Johns Award recognizes members of the McMaster community* who have made outstanding contributions to the field of part-time studies.  Examples of activities or circumstances which would qualify a nominee for this award include: [The nominee]

• Has promoted the academic interests of part-time students by demonstrated awareness of the special needs of part-time students. For example, the accessibility of faculty or staff to part-time students or significant university committee, teaching or administrative involvement.
• Has promoted a cultural and social environment of benefit to part-time students through university or student association involvement.
• Has promoted the interests of part-time studies with the community at large by significant voluntary community involvement or encouraging liaison between the university and the community.
